Bio: Aspen was awarded, along with 6 other horses, by the courts to BEHS.

History: : Nothing is known of Aspen's history.

Health/Lameness: Aspen has a cloudy spot in one eye that may limit her vision. It does not seem to bother her.

Health/Lameness: Aspen is partially blind in her right eye. Her 'blind' eye is bothering her less and less and its become apparent as her training is progressing that she definitely has some vision in that eye. Her foster home believes that it will not be an issue for her for riding.

Abilities: Aspen is currently with a trainer being started under saddle and every time her trainer gives an update about her, he just raves about how sweet she is and what a nice riding horse she's going to be. Aspen has been learning line driving and the trainer reports Aspen really picks up her feet and seems so proud of herself and is a beautiful mover. She?s got great potential for the right adopter.

Other: From her foster home: 'She has learned to lead, tie, yield hindquarters, flex laterally and lunge a little bit. Her feet continue to recover from being chronically overgrown. She is the lowest in the herd and enjoys the companionship of both other horses and people. She likes people and will come to me and follow me around the pasture-- she is very easy to catch. She does not trailer well at this time, but we will be working on that soon. She has a refined look to her and is a nice mover; I think she will be fun to ride.'
